Description: During the trip along the picturesque Dolgaya Guba bay to the Big Muksalma island the visitors see the great hydro engineering facility – the man-made Boulder Dam (XIX century) 1.5 km long which connects two islands: the Big Solovetsky island and the Big Muksalma island. The visitors learn the history of the Sergiev skete and see the buildings that survived since the XIX century.
Notice: the distance from the tour agency to the pier in the Dolgaya Guba bay (5 km) and back the visitors cover on foot. Travel time from the pier to the Big Muksalma Island - 40 minutes. The excursion is possible under good weather conditions.
